Meet Colorado Mortgage Broker License Requirements & Pass The State Exam With ProSchools  

Colorado Mortgage Broker License Requirements
Mortgage broker applicants are required by Colorado law to complete 40 hours of approved education and pass the two-part exam prior to applying for a mortgage broker license. The mortgage broker course must consist of the following to meet the 40 hour requirement:

  1. State and Federal Law totaling 19.5 hours of education coursework
  2. Mortgage 101 totaling 16 hours of education coursework
  3. Business and Trade Practices totaling 4.5 hours of education coursework.

Colorado Mortgage Lending License Exam Information

PSI, a national testing provider, will administer and grade the mortgage broker licensing examination. The exam will consist of two parts totaling 100 questions:

  1. State and Federal Law (30 state questions and 30 federal questions)
  2. Mortgage Lending Basics (40 general questions)
